After I had my square wheel grinder around ten years I had enough money saved up to buy another grinder. Did I need another grinder? Probably not. Did I want another grinder? Yes.
The Burr King is very well made. It is solid, vibration free, and the tracking is excellent. It is also quiet.
The one drawback to the Burr King, and it is a serious drawback for me, is it takes awhile to change from the contact wheel to the flat platen. Maybe I am lazy, or impatient, but I like my grinders to have a quick change feature.
I just leave a ten inch serrated contact wheel on the Burr King, and I use it a lot.

I like these grinder features you are doing

Can you get some close-ups of the tracking tension system ?

agreed.
I have a Hardcore billet grinder which is similar to the Burr King and I think some items could be interchangeable.
I don't want to hijack this thread but I'd be happy to post pics and write up a little on mine as it's related in design.

hsc3_90293, go ahead and post pictures and do a write up on yours. This is intended to give beginning knifemakers some help when they choose a 2x72" grinder.

Pictures of the tracking and belt tension system. Both systems work extremely well on the Burr King.

I had an opportunity to purchase this grinder from a hobbyist who passed away. It was a pretty good bundled deal for me as it came with several attachments.
However this is an older model with a DC motor. RPM is variable to 2500 max with the Baldor motor
I would say it's very well designed, solidly built. It's a local company in Los Angeles so that was favorable for me as well.
These pics are from a few months ago when I first got it.
I also have the flat platen attachment and 6" drive wheel and 2 work rests.
I honestly don't have alot of time on it as I also have a Esteem grinder I mainly use and I won't have my garage workshop setup for another month or so.
They also have a surface grinder option which apparently fits a Burr King as well, but it's real pricey
Most attachments are changed out with 2 hex screws and the large nut which holds the drive wheel.
