THE BUSSE CHAT THREAD!

That’s a SAR5

It came out before the other SAR series of designs

This one looks to have an aftermarket bead blast, and sharpening. If I recall the SAR5 originally only came from the shop coated.

Asking for opinions.

I've only owned around 3 or 4 busse/bussekin blades. I'm going to be picking up the new nano Fusion Warpath.

Edit: removed question about nuclear option. Found the pic thread.

What about the hand-shaped scales? From what I've found through searching, it seems like everyone has said they're really comfortable, a step up from the regular scales. Opinions?

Busse does not offer hand shaped much as an option these days. Nice to see this.

Hand shaped is contoured better with no texture. It’s also has a more organic smooth feel. You can notice the difference more on these larger handle designs. Fusion handle is a prime example. There can sometimes be hot spots on the standard handles. (Still depends on individual hand size/preference)

I had to address this on my Moab with lightly hand sanding/blending the perimeter of the elevated portions on the handle.

I ended up ordering the hand shaped after looking at images on BF and on Google. Seems like it's more what I'm looking for.

Isn’t this basically a satin ASH2 with a tac handle? Come on Jerry, release a satin ASH2 or better yet, an ASH 2 LE with Tiger hide slabs with the OG straight handles!

Has anyone else found Outdoors55 on YouTube? He does a lot of sharpening videos. He seems very knowledgeable and is entertaining. He also shows stuff under magnification to prove the point of what he's discussing , which is what I really enjoy. Anyway, just wanted to pass it along if you need tips for better sharpening skills like I do. Hog on.

I wonder what it means for us.
- Will there be rolling thunder / ganzaa anymore?
- No more “come & get it” at 9 PM?
- 3-4 month wait time… hmmm… I can deal.

It is what it is.
I’m just glad boss man is doing stuff to stabilize/fine tune things & keep bringin’ the heat!🔥

Alright. Who’s in on the TGS19?
Honestly I’ve collected enough bussekin to know which I’ll like/dislike based on the specs alone. And this one I’m gonna have to pass up. The F16 in my opinion had a lot of shock and this is basically that but with a double guard and a longer handle.

If it were .25 thick or convexed it would truly set itself apart from the other knives released lately , carrying on the true Team Gemini spirit, and I wouldve most definitely been in for one.
