THE BUSSE CHAT THREAD!

I thought I had sharp knives before, with this edge the hair is literally flying off my arm lol on the other hand with all the showing off/testing, most of my arm hair is gone lol
P.S. as Usuall BB sheath is awsome, just enough retention, no retrling what so ever.

Dangerous as heck. Be careful 😎

For those here who use or collect Bark River Knives... SHTF over the weekend.
Very sorry, it's not good news concerning the country of origin of some of the steel they used recently. This list is only concerning what KSF sold, but is longer, includes some "club knives" also.

Just checked again, and STILL no Scrapyard website, just a message saying server cannot be found. What’s goin on guys? We may be small but we’re loyal. Is there going to be an avenue available to us or are we going to have to be “Assimilated” into the Busse consortium?

Yes sir, it is BAD.
Last BRK I bought & actually used was in 2020 - it was a Pettyz kitchen knife supposedly of CPM-154- it rusted in days with me being very careful with it too!
Live & learn
I reckon i should add, that Mike Stewart copped to it - of buying Chinese Blanks, then removing the lables and adding the CPM-154 and or 154CM label to the blanks.

From what I've seen, he copped to it *after* he got called out. There's a pic circulating of a BRK blank in a clear bag wearing a white oval "made in china" sticker on it.

Since I heard he's done this before, switching steels, back in 2006 or around there, I'm wondering if my only 2 BRK's (3V Li'l Canadian pair) are, in fact, A2. Not sure...
At least I only have 2, but I know that there are folks that collect BRK like we collect Busse, and I feel for them right about now.

Jaxx, I would think you wouod have a 50/50 chance AT BEST of having legit CPM-3V Blades - just my opinion

Here's what a girl that worked in the office had to say about the situation
I would imagine shes being honest

This one is the pic I saw vvv
Apparently it's a Bitteroot Caper...

ETA: Yeah, I believe ya about 50% at best on the steel. Luckily, I only have the 2 I bought probably over 10-12yrs ago, whenever the run was, so I'll continue to use them. At least they are cutters, & came very sharp. Now that this broke...err, *came to light* lol, I'll just be sure to not carry either of them w/o carrying another much more trusted knife also. 🤷‍♂️

I hear ya man - its just terrible
Jason, from DLT said he would have Niagra check their Knives to make sure that what they have ( besides the models listed that were bogus) is what they say they are.
At least, im 99% sure thats what he said.
He did a video addressing what went down with BRK
