jaxx, that is one awesome blade, i am glad that i got the opportunity to hold this knife, this knife came with character, good choice man, a true keeper.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring, LOL ...But for me today, this one IS "The BUSSE" :thumbup:

Yup, here's mine. I wouldn't even say it's my favourite Busse ... but there's something about the iconic style of the blade they chose for their logo that's very striking. It's too heavy to be my choice for any application that would require carrying it anywhere, but in the hand it feels like a battle axe head on a knife handle.

The ASH-1 is probably my second choice amongst those I own for "epitome of Busse", and for use it's near the top of my list. I've got a CG and two Skinnys, one of which has been beat on pretty hard.

I was told that busse doesn't do white paper micarta anymore due to how hard it is to not get dirty or stained.
The more experienced busse Lovers could probally tell you better than I .
I never heard of a full white paper micarta handle.
Seen sfnos similar to mine With handshaped snake but with grex on the bolster instead of the white paper.
I'd like to know myself.

Thanks for saving me the trouble- couldn't have said it better myself! Please tell me where to get a sheath like that?

I agree that it's really too heavy to want to carry far, but I feel like I can take on the primordial forest when I have my FSH in hand, really brings out my inner caveman. It is obviously "The Busse"- why do you think they picked it for the logo?
