the busses i've acquired in 2008

WOW awesome collection!!

Looks like you are a BIG fan of satin, my fav also!!

thanks all for your kind words....

as all of you have stated, i do have a thing for satin blades.....as all the young, hip folk are saying these days: "if it ain't satin, then it ain't crackin".....

i do wish that the skinny ASH and AK were satin, but after stripping and polishing my FFBM, i'm not even going to try.....that FFBM is ugly as sin, and that is after 20 hours of handrubbing!!!

my only option is stripping and handrubbing with sandpaper because i don't want to use any power tools......i've heard that using power tools voids the warranty and i don't want to do that.......i consider the warranty the best part about owning a busse...

Nice pics....

I've selected one to use as a reference On the far right the two large knives. I think the 2nd - 4th in from the right are FBM's of some flavor. The one all the way to the right....what is she? and is it just the angle or is she longer than the knife to her left?

Model name
Blade Length (if you say 5/16's I may need a minute to calm myself, LOL)
INFI Thickness

I'm a a bit puzzled and quite excited to know about this one...The blade profile looks oh so familiar of the Mistresses from back in the day, yet that handle screams newer model.

others have answered before me, but i will also give you my answers....

it is the NMFBMLE, nuclear meltdown fusion battle mistress......mine is #999.....i requested this number.....i have a feeling that this the highest numbered NMFBM around....most people like low numbers to signify early production......i wanted the last one made......

the blade is indeed 2" longer than the standard fusion battle mistress which makes the blade 11" long(please correct me if i'm wrong).....it sports a fully convex ground blade and edge....the spine is rounded.....the talon hole, and butt area have all been rounded for a "dehorned" look....and the blade is right around .25" thick.....some are thicker than others......i don't have a mic so i'm not sure exactly how thick mine is....

and i do love mine a lot......

i have three favorites right now, and the nmfble is one of them......

hey guys, let make this a picture thread......i know it's been done to death, but let's all post a group shot of the blades we've acquired in 2008......or you can just post a pic of every blade you have........just as long as we have some family photos.......

The FBM's are 10" long. The nmfbm's are one inch longer, just as nmsfno's are 8" instead of 7.

that's alot of steel!

The ash looks like pocket knife in that company!
