Thats some nice looking bone, blade patina is a compliment to the knife as well.

I always find the knife I want right after I give up and buy something else. That looks like it will do just fine until the sawcut comes along.

This guy did a rope a test and his results showed the tru sharp held up about 87% as well as the CV. Another one I saw but cant find right now had the ss slightly better in edge retention. So it doesn't seem like you're losing much if anything with the ss, unless you like the patina. Thoughts?

Agree. Personal preference. Both fully up to the challenge for a slipjoint pocket knife.
