Hi there!
Never had a Bonestag Case before and planing to get one, i have sold all my Case knives and realize maybe i should get at least one for the collection, i had a very nice Case smooth antique bone tribal lock before (one of the few knives i regret selling...) and since that model is Out of stock everywhere, it would be a nice time to try a Bonestag Tribalock, but i don't find a lot of info about Bonestag and most of the pictures on the internet are the production Bonestag pictures. I made a search on BF and found some variations and tought it would be a good idea to made a post to show them!
What is Bonestag (From Case XX website):
Genuine Case BoneStag® has evolved from genuine jigged bone treated under an open flame exactly as they treat Genuine Stag. This beautiful treatment gives each handle a unique golden brown look. This striking family of knives from W.R. Case and Sons has the unique designation 6.5. Because the handle is made of bone, it should have a pattern designation of “6” and because of its Stag appearance it has been given a “5”. Therefore, the “6.5” pattern number has been created.
