The Case Bonestag Show!

I believe examples from the early years of this century were much lighter in colour than the toast coloured ones of recent years?

I gave away a Peanut and Barlow in CASE Bonestag 6.5 and they were cream/black when new, another deeply ridged Saddlehorn I had was the same, likewise a Medium Stockman which is the only on I have left in this bone. I like it a lot, grippy, textured and quite thick.

Will Will Power Will Power - One of the reasons the handles are quite thick in some cases is because deep jigging is required to get the appearance of Sambar Stag. Case calls this deep jigging "deep canyon bone" jigging.

They look better than most of their Sambar stag handles.

I have to agree. There IS some decent CASE Stag but to say it's scarce is telling it tamely.

I agree as well. I've gotten a couple of good stag pieces from Case over the years, but it's not consistent. I think finding good stag for the volume of knives they produce must be difficult, or their hafters aren't great. Either way, I do prefer their Bonestag. They do a particularly good job with barehead knives.

Stag remains one of my favorite covers so it stands to reason that I would like BoneStag as well. I thought I had a Barlow in it but I can't find it at the moment so I will have to show this well loved Sowbelly.

I've been eyeballing some Case/Bose collabs in BoneStag and all the examples I see look exceptional - I just need to pull the trigger.
