I would just like to find out who is going to buy the Case/ Tony Bose Trapper, and why...

Or who wouldn"t buy this knife?

I'm a new collector, I have only one Case knife, and if it were in the budget, this would sure be my second. Beautiful knife, a great collaboration, I think this one is a WINNER! Any fellings on this Knife?

I have one on order. Hopefully by the end of the year they will be in.This is Case's first collaboration with a custom maker and already the prices have skyrocketed from everything I have heard and read. Only 1000 were offered and they were snapped up asap. Now the only way to get one is through a dealer and the price flucuation between dealers is huge. If you are lucky enough to get one under $300 I would go for it.Others have posted here that they have seen them at shows for sale but everyone I know with one on order says they are not available yet. Anyone here know the exact date they will be out?

I'm not even a Case collector and I was thinking of picking one of these up since I really like the custom touches. Where can they be had? Thanks.

If you're into knives and you're not a member, you should be!

With 12 on order (sorry! they already are spoken for) I guess I jumped in with both feet. Saw the protos at the Blade Show. IMHO finest knife Case has produced in it's long history.
I hope we can look back in a year or two to see this was a direction that put Case back onto the knife map.

I hope you're right. Are you a big Case collector? Why so many, are you buying them for resale? Sorry to sound stupid, but I'm kind of new to this.

I'd like to know if anyone who is getting one if they're going to use their Case/Bose knife?

Gus, you gonna use yours?

Received my first one about 3-4 weeks ago - absolutely awesome quality, especially for a factory. Fit & finish is definately at the level you find from Bose, Burke etc.. Tony worked very closely with Case on these, was amazed how nice they came out & stated he could not make the knife for less than double the cost from Case. My understanding is that Case has one or two of their best craftsman making these basically by hand in batches of 200 - 250. The next batch will be going out late this month/early next month. Down the road I can't help but think they will appreciate in value. Wonder if we will see future collaboration models released?

Hi Greg,
I think the one I have on order for myself is destined for the display case after a few days of checking it out closely.

Kodiak, you bring up a good thread. How do you decide; what's a "User' and what"s a "Collector"? I know knives are made to be used, but sometimes I have a hard time even thinking about even using a really nice production knife, and I'm not talking hundreds of dollars, just hard to get. I think I decide before I buy if I will be using a knife or not. How do you decide?
