You can buy better knives than Case for the money. There are plenty of more practical knives. I have one that I use regularly and love it however. It has nothing on the performance of my Sebenza and other such knives, but I enjoy it for what it is: a classic! I enjoy it the same way an enthusiast enjoys an old Porche 356. A 356 has NOTHING on todays cars, but you enjoy it for what it is: a beautiful classic with an elegant simplicity. Case knives are VERY easy to sharpen (to being RAZOR sharp) and maintain, they're attractive knives, the blades on a trapper are very handy, and they are pretty non-threatening to sheeple. They don't hold much of an edge, but for light work they do the job, I just keep mine touched up.
