As many have suggested, I need a JK Handmade Knives "Signature Knife." This could be several sizes or variations of the same knife, but it should be one model. My challenge to you is this, go through old posts and find what you think should be my "Signature Knife." Post a picture and state why you think it qualifies. There can be more than one person to choose a specific model, so if it`s already been posted, post it again. All models are eligible, except the full size Kephart. Let`s see what comes up.

My vote is for the EO1 Hunter. Clean looking, very functional with a great price point. You can keep it simple with micarta or dress it up with fancy scales and pins.

I agree with jds1, the Element O1 including the regular or Hunter version would be a good choice.

I think this COMMANDO is the prettiest knife you ever made and would be a fine SIGNATURE PIECE.

Your most distinctive & instantly recognized knife may be the KNATCHET , mini CBK or Hudson Bay.

all would be candidates

I'll say the "Camp and Trail". It looks like a tough do everything knife, what I would expect from a JK Handmade knife. The name also sounds like what a signature knife would be. I don't have a picture but it is in Johns web site gallery under current models.

I like the other e01s a lot but I don't know think a signature knife should have a little more pazzaz showing some hung of what a maker is. The e01 was a basic price and model.

My thoughts on this exactly! Question though - lots of "your" knives were designed by others. Will one of those be acceptable as a signature knife? I would think so but wonder what you say John.

I have no problem with that at all.

I agree on the Commando, it was the nicest and most "elegant" knife I have ever made. The only problem is that you and I are the only ones who liked it!

My vote is for the Rule # 9

There are others that I think of as JK Classics - The Tool and the Toby's Knife, but the Rule # 9 is a near perfect all around knife.

The Rule #9 is very useful knife in all applications.

It is not so big as to be restricted to special carry purposes nor too small to be just a once in a while user (the better than no knife at all type of knife). Likewise, it is not so big as to intimidate - nor so small that it can't do the work of a bigger knife.

Function aside - it is a great looking knife that is exceptionally rugged. There is nothing common about it. I like it and would be glad to put my name on it as my signature knife, if I could, so I say let it be the JK Signature! With a tip of the hat to Mack - protourist - for a great design.

Rule 9 is a wonderful design and also is distinctive with it's extended tang (hmmm, Commando like:)) and off center lanyard hole
(is this available with a cap lifter?)

My vote is for the C/U-6. I think it's the absolute best looking knife and it's good quality. Maybe offer it in a few different sizes.

Compact Tool and Sauk Trail!

Those two knives look like comfortable all day users that could handle just about anything thrown at them aside from Large batoning.

Honestly, if I wasn't as dedicated to drawing up my next JK from my own design, those 2 would be next in the line up. Hell, the Compact still might be, but I digress...

Johns knives speak to me as highly functional, Great looking and incredibly comfortable pieces, that you don't have to worry about doing something stupid with, because they will even shrug that off. (I dropped my beloved Mini Canadian Belt onto a concrete floor from 5 1/2' feet, landed tip first... All to show from it was a blunted/roll on the Very tip that was about 1/4 of the size I was expecting, if not a snapped tip.)

Thank you again John.

Edit- I also wouldn't mind it being a Toby's, Bluegill, or a Potawatomi.

I too like the Sauk Trail, but it's another one that did not take off as I expected. On the other hand the Compact Tool did fairly good.
