THe changing seasons on my pond...

March 2, 2009 Snow is gone, Ice remains,

Today March 11, 2009, Winter Ice is leaving the pond. Note the end of my dock is underwater, Probably due to the three inches of rain in the past three days but also melting snow and it might have slipped on the pole. No way I am wading into 33 degree water to fix it though...:D

Oh Yeah baby..I have stocked this pond with Bluegills. But the big Bass are in the pond next to mine ( to the left of the Picture ) so what we do is catch the bass and toss them in a bucket and "Reclocate them" to our pond.

I caught a 3.5 lb Bass on our pond last year. Now as far as Bass goes thats not that big but for our pond its a whopper.

I think Bluegills can be fun to fish for on light tackle.
