Got Kate home from her surgery late last night (planned, not emergency), and found a surprise waiting in my mailbox - a check from a project I was sure I'd never be paid for. Woot! Too bad that's all going to the hospital bills. :/

That's right, 18 inches of snow on my deck when I made it home this afternoon. More expected Friday/Saturday. Dang groundhog may not have seen his shadow, but we are making the most of the last few days of the snow season, that's for sure. Tired of the absolute mess it makes of the roads. On the plus side, I can hardly wait for the clouds to clear - views of the Rockies will be spectacular!

Wow! That is a lot of snow! I'm pretty much over getting snow but almost missed it this year, we got a lot early on and then nothing. I'm going to try and hit the mountain one more time for boarding.

Collab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are looking great and should be off to you for scales soon! :cool:

Yo! Had a decent day at work today, other than all my sinuses filling with fluid and I am essentially deaf in my left ear now, right is about 40%. Ugh. Otherwise I feel ok, got the wife out picking up some meds for me.

Got a new set of line guides coming to rebuild an old St. Croix rod, should be here tomorrow. Spent the evening after dinner with the boy helping me clean and rebuild another vintage spinning reel, he digs helping me with stuff like this!

Daniel, I really need a new B&T in some forms of stainless, maybe something like CTS-XHP or S30V or some other stainless capable of a fine edge. Hell good ol' 154 might even work. I'm thinking something about .100" thick, 2.5" long blade, .75" tall, slim and slender. I know Liam would be game for one too!

no snowmen this time. My daughter usually loves being in the snow - except when its this deep and she can't walk through it (she's 4). If she was outside, there would definitely have been a snowman on order.

Wonder how many broken bones Richie Jackson has endured in his career?
 
Nice vid flat... Love his approach.. one of those manual to heel or kick flip to manual blows my mind... I grew up skating when a boneless was far out! Lance Mountain was "our" idle for a year or so.. half pipe contruction in Thrasher made me and my grade school buddy make one.. floated plywood in our pool to get it bendy :D

Ahhh those were the days! Now these are the days when 2025 rolls around :D

Sloth, it sounds like we are about the same age. Remember street plants / yo yo's ? My buddy had this trick he called the Art Stall Fart that would clear the platform of any half pipe, haha. Ahhhhh those were the days.
X, I spy Phil Tenacious oil in that pic. I don't know why but just seeing that bottle makes me want to ride my track bike today.....the Capo of course. :D

I was street plant master! Boneless off electric boxes.. Wish'd too be street style like Mullen, but DAAAAMN he is ill.. :D

First board was a plastic Coyote in blue.. Then I went big time! Skull and sword P&P... still have that deck..

Hmmm well this is a chat forum.. and though it is in a knife specific forum, we chat about other things.. as you've probably seen.. guns, cameras, knives.. uhm coffee.. oh mUsIc.. and uhm other stuff I think :D

Been really lethargic the last couple of days....my grandfather passed away going to the bathroom and just been reflecting on the kind of man he was (96 yrs old and could have eclipsed 100 I bet if not for some tragic deaths that has plagued my family). He was a beast and worked till he was 78 and only stopped due to a stroke.

My gf was worried as I have been sleeping more than 10 hours a night and not talking to her. I haven't even told my best buddy cause not sure how to mention it as we are casually playing video games lol.

Anyways, Daniel waiting for a stonewashed blue or some type of blue backpacker when you start making a batch again.

Folders and S7 prybars are coming soon! I have the Mega and the last RF2 working. (the new flipper design may be the RF3! or maybe another name but similar lines)

I'll be posting pics soon too, I thought I had it figured out yesterday and did a thread but it was in the wrong format! I'm still trying to use this phone but will be breaking out the Nikon for pics today. :) I have stuff on instagram but it is not my goal to direct anyone there...

I've done some small shop upgrades and will be running more carbide bits for Ti now! I found a great deal on a mini drill press that runs true and fast for small bits. More accuracy! I also bought a new integral chuck for my mill, it will also be way more accurate!

Knives! :D I have a few one off Backpackers 99% ready to go. They have been ready for a while but I was waiting on belts for sharpening... I tried a new belt for the final grit and do not like the results I got... so they will be very soon! One is blue! I have a few new ones going too, I'll make you a blue one if possible... they will be the last Backpackers for a bit until I start up a new group.

300 Backpackers!!! I think I will hit 300 once I complete these I have going! I have a Backpacker framelock drawn up now... :D Same lines and size!

We're rooting for you, hang in there!

Sincere condolences on the loss of your grandfather. Mine passed (also 96 yrs old) in December. He was my hero (I have only ever said that about 2 people), veteran of WWII and Korea, and taught me how to woodwork. That generation was truly remarkable! I understand the grief you are expressing.
