The CKF Kremlin

I believe Kevin John manufactures parts for them but isn't part of CKF. Apparently the owners of CKF started out as Kevin John dealers but then started producing their own knives. Maybe that's where that claim came from.

Also, Kevin John was not technically a counterfeiter, its knives were not made with fake logos to appear to be original and weren't marketed as original. Rather it was a cloner, stealing the design but not passing it off as the real thing. So a bit less unethical than a counterfeiter. It seems many now reputable Chinese manufacturers started out similarly.

I haven't met the owners but I would be curious to know how you determined they hate America.

The founder of CKF is Mikhail Kulygin (Mike) and use to go by the name Kevin John on Guns.ru, and also started the counterfeit company. CKF is literally Kevin John, they are the exact same thing under different names.

I’ve been to the CKF table many times over the years and there has never been a warm welcome. They do not want to talk to you unless you pull out money, that’s the only thing they want from you.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a more bombastic train wreck with a toxic spill comment on the internet before.

CKF = Venom = Kevin John

Kevin John is the Chinese clone company that has been making counterfeit knives for years.

Go to Blade Show and stop by the CKF table. You’ll be greeted by a couple Russian guys who clearly hate America.

Why don't you go start your own thread to spout nonsense. This is a thread for people that enjoy CKF products. You represent all of America at blade show somehow?

Sorry to hear of your experience. Whether it's Mike Kulygin or Kevin John...or the same person, I've had nothing but great communication from him / them. A company that was cerakoting a large Satori of mine, lost the steel lock bar insert screw. This happened long after that model was discontinued. I contacted Mike and he not only went out of his way to try to find one, but he sent me six that he thought would work (no charge)...two of those do work.

As I said, from my experience with their customer service, the fit and finish and quality materials used on CKF products, these are the reasons I keep purchasing.

Curious about that Decepticon 1, how does it compare to their other knives? I remember the first couple in the series were far more expensive than comparable CKF's today, sitting at around $1000 in the plain materials. I wonder if it really was that much more difficult to make than what they're doing now, or if they lowered their prices to play in more of the market.

Side note: smiling too much and for no particular reason is considered a sign of untrustworthiness in Russian culture. That doesn't mean that they hate you.
