Rose and Thistle Custom
Very nice selection of European coins there Josh particularly the Tsarist Rouble and that Ivory Bone 14, Longpull Spears are always lookers
Thanks, I enjoy finding cool coins. Used to have a gold 10 ruble piece, wish I hadn't sold it. Unfortunately it's a moonglow not ivory bone, wife is sending it to jsdistin to recover in purple abalone.
Some coins my grandmother had kept in the bottom of her jewelry box for the last 60 years. Two poorer than dirt NC kids got to see the world courtesy of the USAF in the 50s-60s. They did two different stints in England and used that to springboard across much of Western Europe during his off time.
The French coin is dated 1945 and appears to be aluminum...which I thought was neat.
Found some Libyan and Egyptian coins too...unsure if they just picked those up in their travels or if they actually made it to Africa....I feel like I would have remembered those stories. My boys claimed those...need to snag them for some pictures.
