The Collection, So Far

I think they also make them in the US with the processes developed in Sweden. Mistake they just market them.

Good point. I thought they were from Sweden only. I will have to look into them a little more. For some reason though that head style, similar to a Norlund, just doesnt do it for me for whatever reason. I dont like how they feel in my hand, and I dont like how they feel when I swing them. Just me I guess. Of course if I give them a little bit of a better chance, they might win me over. I am partial to Mann Edge tool axes and hatchets myself.

That one is a True Temper Kelly Works(one side). It is marked (other side) : Flint Edge Best Axe Made.

I have attached the pic :

Hope you like.

Thanks!

Yes, I like very much. That's quite a find there. A real beauty and piece of history. I have a single bit Dayton pattern like that.

After I posted that I thought they were also made in US it appears that what I saw was that they market them in US and they are still made in Sweden.

The US division makes protective clothes for chainsaw users. Each Ax comes with an The Axe Book (~36 pages) that is very interesting (at least for me the neophite). I would scan it in, but I don't want to infringe on rights. You can request a free one online http://www.gransfors.com/htm_eng/yxboken/index.html

I have gotten so into collecting this old stuff and appreciating the superior quality, I found myself checking out old ladies at the coffee shop, wondering if they are better the new ones too.
