Orange can be very traditional. Plenty of orange bone, orange-ish wood, and even orange celluloid.
Here are a couple from my accumulation:
I don't have a photo handy, but the "smooth sunset bone" used by Canal Street Cutlery is a striking orange. Schrade used orange Delrin on some knives, including their Old Timers once in a while - can't get any more traditional than that!
