This club is for highly experienced Bucknuts, I mean, "outdoorsmen" who know that one knife is NEVER enough. ;)

Favorite combos, please! :)

A tough decision ... A 301 is a "given" for any combination I might come up with.

I guess I'd have to go with a 110 or 112 and 301 as my "favorite" Buck combo, since that is part of my EDC.
(The other part is a 4 blade scout knife or SAK Huntsman, and a SAK Signature ... although I have been known to drop a Buck 389 Canoe in the pocket to keep the 301 and Scout or Huntsman company.)

While I do have a couple Buck fixed blades (119 Special, 470 Mentor, 877 Maverick) I don't carry them often, even when heading out into the boonies/sticks, since I know the 110 is more than capable of handling whatever skinning or heavy cutting/whittling I may need to do.

To be honest, if I think I'll need a fixed blade while out and about, I just add the 119 on the belt next to the 110, and one of the 877's as a neck knife to my normal carry.

Topgear, where did you get your 110 drop point w/ cpm154 blade with micarta handle? Was that one of the contracted SK knives? Some nice photos gents. DM

It was from SK blades, called the "Gentleman". Drop point cpm154, polished black g10 with anvil shield inlay, and nickel silver bolsters. Very nice knife.

Knives ^ are not mine. They belong to one of our life members who showed me this twin set at a show. They are one liner knives. Still, historical what Buck would do in the early 60's. DM

That's what I'm thinking too. Granted I agree with pairing the 2 models as it gives you lots of knife to cover big jobs. I likely would have went with a 103 & 121 pairing. Still, I'm not going to fault this pair. Thanks, DM

tiguy, that must be a Buck custom or a rehandle 120. Otherwise that stamp does not go with that sheath. But pretty wood. DM
