The common denominator...

I'll jump in,

I am a 22 year old (in a few weeks) IT Consultant. I am married to a lovely woman named Abby whom I met in high school during our senior year. We don't have any kids yet, but we can't wait to be a parents. We are thinking about trying to become when my company's insurance starts in April, and again did I mention I'm pretty excited about the prospects of parenthood.

I am also a youth pastor for my church (we're nondenominational Christian) and I love every second with the kids I work with. If it would put bread on the table I would do full time ministry but alas mine is a small church with not the money so I am actually "pro bono". But it is more than worth it, I love working with teenagers, trying to instill not only sound moral principles (based on scripture) but trying to teach these kids that they are awesome. It kills me, all the teens that have issues with self worth or their self perceived lack of ability. So as part of my ministry I try to build a place where the kids can have good friends and a lot of fun while learning how to be genuinely good people with scriptural based morals and a strong confidence in themselves and God.

My life is pretty well summed up in three areas, Church, work, and family. My wife and I are always running from one thing to the next whether it is a family event or church event (sometimes they coexist as we have a lot of family in the church). Both sides of my family live close to us and in fact, distant relatives excluded, the furthest we would drive to see family is about 2 and a half hours (but most are within 10-20 min) so we spend a lot of time visiting family.

As far as what brought me here? honestly I was just trying to research some of the knives I wanted (at the time I was a tactical kind a guy) and this place kept popping up. Since I have joined I switched to traditional knife knives because, in my mind, they have more personality than modern folders.

Interests I have (other than knives) I love nature and animals, if its outside I like it. Canoeing is probably my favorite with hiking and camping as close seconds, so when I have (make) time I like to be outdoors. I also like chess, my dad taught me when I was younger and it been a thing with me ever since.

Sorry if its a little long, I like this place though and figured I would share. Thanks to Dan for starting this, its a cool idea.

Lets put a face to a name,

Good for you Blade Crazy. Nice to see a young man that knows where he's going, how to get there, and doing some good along the way

Thank you, I still have much to learn and a long way to go but I do the best I can and I try to always improve.

Hi guys!

I want to tell you something about me:

I´m 28 years old and I get engaged. My "wife" and I want to marry next year. We don´t have children til now.

I´m working for a federal authority as an official (some kind of cop). We have a lot of shooting and self-defense for our work.

But I don´t wanna take this stuff and kind of life home. We life in the house my great-great-granddad built and I made a new home from this old house. It was built in 1860 ;) My hobbies is my house (some parts are still a building lot); my dad and I love to work in the woods for firewood, we do it already since I can think. When I have some free time, I like to restore old axes, hatchets. Another hobby is building tobacco-pipes of bruyere-root-wood. And of course my knives.

I came to knives in my childhood. Than that part of my life stopped at some point (cheap fixed blades and some SAKs). In case of my job I need some good knives. So I came to the tacticool part of knives. People in public react different on this.
I always liked the look of US traditional knives. So I got bitten by the bug and infected by the virus. I bought my first Case and it went on and on... (I hope you know what I mean)

Looking at my life til now, I´m contently. I life a good and fairly life. :)

Kind regards
Andi
