The Condor has landed.

I'd say go ahead and thin it out right away. You'll get better performance out of it that way. :)
 
Just keep at it with sharpening that tough 1075 and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It has become my most comfortable general purpose field blade and is extremely slicey :)
