The Cowbell Build Thread

I think it's easier for a wild color to be quiet on a small knife. A large knife with a wild color can get really loud and even obnoxious instead of being fun in my opinion.
That hits the nail right on the head for me, pefectly said.

I'd carry a Cowbell in any bright color but on a large knife it would bug me to no end.

Ready for shaping and sheaths. Looking forward to having a nice catalog of colors for these. With the color options and 4 blade types, everyone should be able to find a combo they like.

I've really enjoyed the progress of this model, how about you guys? I think this little design has come a long way.

I watched a few of these builds before I was able to get one. Always liked the looks of them. Since I got my own it has been in the pocket more than any of my other edc sized fixed blades. It is a very comfortable and easy knife to use for daily tasks. I also like how light mine is.

I always enjoy your pics and write ups when your making this knife
you designed an excellent small fixed edc knife
with 4 different blade styles and all theses handles choices and colors yes it's come a long way
kudos to you John

Back in the saddle, good to be home. Great trip but these dozen Cowbells were calling my name. Polished out the thongholes and ready to shape things up. By doing that before shaping, the tiny bit of residue from the polish gets ground away and doesn't give it a chance to try to absorb into the finished handle surface.

Um…

All shaped up, now to handsand through the grits. These four are at 320. I'm creepy in that I always put your names to the Dibs knives. If your ears have been burning it's because I've been talking to myself. "Ok, Chris's is next... that's Melissa's.... this ones for Randy the wild man...."

And on certain nights if the moon is right
And you're down by the Cut Bank path
You can hear those Cowbells ringing
And you can hear that old man laugh

The Legend of Cut Bank Ranch
Ha! There's things that crawl and things that fly and things that creep around on the ground!

This blue denim is cleaning up nice, first time I've used it.
