How much would I be paying for a field knife in d3v, in near new condition. Preferably with the G10 scales. (I heard G10 is preferable to micarta for animal processing, true?)

And how long would I be expecting to trawl these forums before I would be able to snaggle one?

You might want to read the forum rules. Questions about valuation of knives are limited to paying members.

That said, keep scrounging around the sales threads for old posts and you may find a few that don't gave the sell price deleted. They command a premium, for sure. As far as when, who knows.

The best way to find one is to hang out here and develop some camaraderie and make it known that you want one. Someone may help you find one along the way. Welcome. Hope to see you around!

Forgive my ignorance, since I'm not a paying member, but I believe you might have to manually update your own Status.

Go into Settings.
Click on Permission Groups.
Click to check Gold

Thanks for the info. I tried. No go. I have the Paypal transaction. I don't know if BF needs to activate the upgrade.

Missed out on the bc so i think i need a edc in D3v to ease the pain. Let me know if anyone has one they can part with.

Yes, I have come to find out that Spark will have to do that now under this new forum format. The info which you had received was only good under the old format.

Ah sorry about that, I do remember reading something like that. Thought it was limited to "I have this collection, what is it worth?" My mistake :)

I'll be in it for the long haul, bought a nice knife off a knife maker on the forums which is on its way now. Which will do me nicely hunting. I'll keep my eyes peeled here for a someone kind enough to sell a field knife. This is a discontinued knife, correct?
 
The only thing more difficult than finding an EDC in 3V...is trying to place in the top five (or whatever) when Nathan rings the starting bell.

Ya think? Try to find the following CPKs and then report back:

- D2 Skinner
- Utility Fighter
- Shiv
- Heavy Chopper
- Potato(e) Knife ;)
 
I'm always looking to buy or trade for D3V field knives. Users are fine, and sometimes preferred. I have a pretty good bunch of fixed-blade trading material including Busse and kin, Lionsteel, TRC, FB Production models, LT Wright and S!K GSOs.
