The Creator Of MagnaCut

Not my call.

I've long been a fan of Daniel's work, especially his forged work. (Though I have a weakness for the tactical as well.) And I only know Horsewright from the leather gear I've seen here and it looks extremely nice.

I've also owned some blades of Devin's in the past...

So, if my opinion mattered, they'd all have my blessing. (Not that anyone's bound to ask.)
Your opinion matters and I did ask!

I mention those two because they are at the top of my fixed blade list.

Sure, what I am asking about is hypothetical. However, we can have fun here. True?

Thank you D Delgadonine , that's very kind of you to say. I'd say that you can hardly go wrong with your choices.

That Shawn Houston fella is a pretty good knife maker I hear. I can only speak to the friend and fun person part up to now, however. I think he'll be stretching his limits if I've learned anything about him over the past several years.

I was gifted this custom by Richard338 Richard338 in Magnacut.

It's a solid performer, and I have not babied it. I even let friends and family use it, which alone is testament to my confidence in the knife.

Great edge retention, great corrosion resistance, and easy edge maintenance.

The stability of the edge apex is fantastic.

Thanks for sharing this. I would have missed it, otherwise.

@Larrin was interviewed

Goes into some good details about the creation of MagnaCut, some of the challenges and more details about the properties.

Also we learn more about Larrin

I picked up a copy of _Story of Knife Steel_ a couple weeks back, haven't been able to start it yet, but looking forward to it.
“The Story of Knife Steel” should be a required purchase for anyone that owns more than three knives. I genuinely think everyone interested in knives would benefit from witnessing the how’s and why’s of the knife steel world, and it’s evolution - I think I’ve already said this, but for me, the most significant bits were the explanations of the people and the personalities behind the various alloys and their use and development.
