Sorry ice_man. I know the pain. Same exact thing happened to me, twice, trying to buy a piece from a very limited run of traditional knives.

I'll see what I can do about getting some photos taken and posted, but please know that they will be very amateur work compared to the great photos I see here on BF.
 
My first CRK got here today! Gonna get it home, get it sharpened (it's about as sharp as a spoon) tear it down, clean and lube it, and put it to work.

Not sure if it's been factory reblasted or if they started sandblasting them in 2007
 
Why are all the really neat and unusual CRKs older. Do they just not do the small collectable batches any more and just stick with mass production?

These aren't very old. Try to find some like them floating around on the Exchange every day..... ;)

I guess I meant the non stainless b&w, colored, pin stripe Damascus etc.

This is on its way should be here friday! Just got it on the forum smooth transaction and exactly what I was looking for plus it's a double lug. It's my first Chris Reeve and I can wait!

Thanks for the pic TMD. I have a small Insingo on the way. Thanks to this forum for talking me into it. I wouldn't have gotten it given the blade shape if it wasn't for all the good feedback. I think it will be a real cutting machine. This is my 2nd CRK so the addiction officially starts now. Next up is a box elder Mnandi once I can find the perfect one. Then an Inkosi and probably a large something.

Those river of fire Sebenzas are absolutely stunning. The large would with out a doubt be my ultimate grail knife.
