I think it's what we call an 'after hours' knife. Company has spare parts, someone working there builds one for theirself, the way they want it. Not implying the boss wasn't OK with it, they often are. I once worked in a woodshop, and was allowed to build myself anything I wanted, as long as I paid for the supplies.

It came with original box and birth card, so it is totally legit. I am so sad that I was not able to get it... :grumpy:

No longer anticipating this one. This was posted not long ago by another member and I think I bugged him long enough that he gave up and sold it to me. SG was great to deal with.

Bought this large 21 Box Elder Burl tonight on the exchange. I felt like I needed a Large Pretty Seb to go with the Large User, Small User, and Small Pretty knives. I thought that box elder was such a looker and the price was very good IMO. Can't wait to see her! I'm getting down to the last few non-CRKs left on my shelf to sell to fund more CRKs! I just can't bear to put anything else in my pocket anymore, save for a couple Spydercos I am keeping for situations where it is just too risky to carry a CRK. When you guys and gals said it was a sickness, you weren't kidding.

It makes me wonder if there's any more of them anywhere. I'm going to guess CRK ran out of the Syringa, but still had a little damascus left over. Now I'm curious how much.
 
I did. It came back quick. When he told me he was thinking of selling, I couldn't help myself... I just love the ladder on it.
