The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

Wow, very nice.
I expected some texture, personally. Are your inlays smooth?
I wasn't disappointed, just surprised.

Somewhat.. Yes. They have a gloss coating on them. Not to crazy about it. But love the knife non the less.

I've been anticipating this one all week, just landed a few minutes ago.
The pic doesn't do the inlays justice, believe it or not.

as what I have said in FB... congratulations again buddy! I was supposed to get this from Jake awhile back, but I found one in the same configuration. Glad it went to someone here in BF... :D :D :D

I see you are going with the when can't decide buy them all school of thought. Congrats

Hah, yeah. I had decided on the Small Inkosi, placed the order, and the next day I got an email from a vendor notifying me that they'd received two first run Large Inkosis. Bought one as soon as they went up on the site. Then I stumbled upon the small CF Insingo at a great price on the exchange. Couldn't resist.

I appreciate you steering me in the right direction despite the naysayers, Driften. :)

Welcome to the sickness! :D This is your future...

Haha. This is true. She has not asked how much each of my knives cost. If she did, I'd probably have to lie. ;)

Love LOVE those inlays! Very unique! And I have a lot of mammoth to judge by.
And BTW, all the mammoth that I have ever seen have a gloss finish except where any of the natural defect is lower than the polished surface and even that has some type of finish on it but just not polished.
Perhaps some one here (cue LW...) can tell us what CRK uses to polish mammoth with. I use Renwax to keep it moist while in storage as it can dry out and crack. I have quite a bit of elephant ivory (all bought many years ago in Africa and Asia before it became politically incorrect to buy it [emoji16]) and I was told to always display it with a cup of water included into what ever glass cabinet enclosure that it was in. Sort of like a humidor I guess. All of that ivory is at least 30 years old and so far none of it has developed any cracks or shown any sign of shrinkage.

Wanting to buy or trade for solid black ebony zebra Damascus.
As pictured above. Thanks for looking!
