I am so so proud and happy that you got the buckeye River-of-Fire Damascus Mnandi! [emoji1319][emoji1319][emoji1319][emoji1319] Couldn't have gone to a better collector! Yay! So happy for you Alessi! Makes me want to come se it in person on my next trip to Europe (if you can promise me no more earthquakes in your town! [emoji16])

Nice! I hope you let us know what you think of it after putting it to some use.

First impressions... it is an interesting blade for sure. It is not designed to be used with the normal hammer style grip but rather more of a finger tip type pinch hold. It has a very nice edge on it and fits beautifully in it sheath.

More pics and thoughts to come.

Thanks Iron City. It's different for me because I generally like fish knives to have some flex at that size.

Good point...

This is my first offical "Bird and Trout" knife and with some searching have found that it is a general term used loosely for a fixed blade that has anywhere from a 2-4" blade. They are not designed to fillet, but rather to gut small game and fish... hence the reason for not flex.

So for me it is similar to the Buck 102 I used for skinning rabbits when I was younger.

The more I handle it the more I like it.

I shoulda stayed out of the Exchange today... :o

I probably shouldn't have visited the exchange on Sunday either

Is there a setting that allows a member full access to the site but blocks access to the exchange? Which button do I chose for that? Maybe I should pm a moderator and have them modify my account? Perhaps paypal has a setting that might help, they seem to be a complicit facilitator in this disease.

But seriously, I am really excited that these two are headed my way. A mammoth barked Sebenza that I think is gorgeous and a space themed Classic UG that forum member "blackened" had commissioned 11 years ago. He was even kind enough to have Lisa design it around my birthstone :)

The back of that mammoth is just OK, but the front sure makes up for it! And at a good price! And I love that UG!

So how long before you have more knives than me?

I'm claiming that it's a one of kind Mammoth CRK. The only one with a barked presentation side and ivory lock side all from the same tusk. Just wait until you see the birth card (btw what type of ink does CRK use on those things anyway) :)

Never gonna happen LW. I had to sell my first CRK to help fund these :grumpy:
