The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

No updates on where the 'zaan is. Just the usual USPS b.s. stating essentially:

"No worries, everything's cool, we haven't a friggin' clue where it is but it's on it's way to you and will arrive later than expected."

No sh#t Sherlock.

On the bright side, today is our 36th wedding anniversary. So we've got that going for us. LOL.

Congrats to you and the Mrs. E! That’s a big win!!!!!
Thanks, brother. Good thing I'm not a conspiracy theorist. First the knife is in the aether. Then after I posted, the power went out, taking the internet.
(Fortunately, our two month old Generac came right on. This is about five times since we got it...none more than a few hours. But the modem, while having power, had no internet, so I could only check on the iPhone via cellular data if I wanted to peruse the forums.)

What's next? I figure my dog will bite me... 🤣

I don't have any patients...but the USPS is trying my patience.

🤣 🤣

amen brother, i got tracking no. yesterday and now i wait!
Well, it's back in Greenville, SC at the distribution point from which it went awry...under normal circumstances that would mean a delivery tomorrow here in the Old North State.

At least it's not "lost" per se.

BTW, mrknife mrknife , what part of NYC do you hail from? I grew up in Brooklyn and Queens before making my escape at the tender age of 35.

(Worked out of 26 Federal Plaza before transferring to Miami to work with another agency chasing ne'er-do-wells and their ilk.)

Bensonhurst, ooo u were here for the fun times!! well different i guess. They moved on to staten island, but their presence has been greatly diminished. It would halt all the car theft and muffler cutting ring thats plagued my area lately.

DEA? ATF?

Bensonhurst? Know the area well. Family and friends. (Still have the accent.)

I left in '87 after four years working undercover and various areas involving corruption, protection and internal security. (Did a lot of stuff involving the Colombo family, and various organized crime organizations and outlaw motorcycle clubs.)

When I went down to FL I was working primarily narcotics and money laundering, as well as arms smuggling / anti-terrorism related matters.

Special Agent with U.S. Customs with a handful of years in a joint task force with DEA, and then other task forces like HIDTA / OCDETF. (Worked cases with many other federal, state and local agencies, as well as in Canada, South America and London.)

Fun while it lasted for 20 plus years until the handwriting was on the wall and I took my leave.

It's nice to live in rural America now.

Thats pretty dope man!!

Ive been in bensonhurst all my life, 18th avenue, its amusing when my patients hear my voice and think im from the south!
Its funny too because we have a few patients who were in the life and when theyre senior citizens its totally different. I didnt know it at the time, but the underboss of the Luccheses visited my clinic once, and was a patient of mine.

Do you ever visit the old neighborhood?

I rarely get up there. Most of the family we visit with is in Ozone Park and Howard Beach for the most part.

I have a lot of "interesting" family anecdotes regarding mob related matters...too many to go into here that would take the thread off-course...but if you think in terms of the real people who were portrayed in "Goodfellas", I can tell several stories. Also, regarding the Gambinos that younger family members were associated with.

Been to family weddings and such events with some of these folks and had to tell other members to ensure I wasn't put at the same table so I wouldn't end up on some surveillance videotape.

I'll leave with this funny anecdote. I was at the Tillary Street federal courthouse in Brooklyn when I stepped on the elevator with a couple of marshals who were escorting John Gotti to a courtroom in cuffs. He looked over at me and asked "How ya doin'?" I looked him up and down and at the cuffs, and replied "Better than you". Then got off the elevator and chuckled to myself.

Funny thing is that some of my family through marriage were involved (at very low levels) with him and his crew.

Anyway, like I say, too many stories to tell here...without wearing out my welcome.

I like to think John had a sense of humor and appreciated the gravity of the situation 🤣

Anyone got any inbounds to show?
Allegedly, I have one of these inbound tomorrow...

I'll believe it when I see it.
