Seriously.

When ever I had a belly ache as a kid, my grandmother would pour a glass of gingerale and stir the living crap out of it until it was flat. She'd toss a straw in that and have me sip on it for a while. In no time I'd feel better.

I swear Corona beer works better.

Any stomache ache of any kind... I've tried it: upset stomach, ate something that didn't agree with me, nervous stomach, ran for a bus with a meal in my stomach, indigestion - the kind of thing when you eat a meal and, hours later, you feel like you're not digesting it... (haven't tried for hangover)

I've been keeping Corona beer around the house for about 6 months since I first started to suspect this, and after testing if over that period, I'm convinced.

Now, I can anticipate all the jokes ya'all will post about, "Just how MUCH of it are you drinking? He-he.":D , just one and, at times, I have poured half a bottle into a glass and handed the bottle to my girlfriend to finish.

I don't know what it is, but other Mexican beers don't work. Corona LIGHT doesn't work, but Corona is like some kind of an elixer.

I'm sure I'm not imagining this. AM I?

.

Who knows if it really works or not but it certainly tastes better then any other stomach remedy.

We got ginger ale, too, but not flat -- bubbles and all. We also got tea with lemon and honey which not only didn't work, I hated the taste, too.

You may be onto something with the Corona! :)

OK ... OK .. you twisted my arm. I'll buy a 12 pack and give it a go.. :D

Encapsulated ginger root works great for seasickness, and also is recommended as a "blood tonic" (boosts the metabolism).

Encapsulated peppermint also works well to settle the stomach in cases of indigestion or heartburn.

Normally, an order of sushi includes a small serving of ginger. I suppose some like the taste of the ginger, but the original reason for eating small amounts of ginger with raw fish was to avoid an upset stomach.

I heard that the original reason for the wasabi (which also comes with sushi) is to prevent any worms or other parasites from finding a hospitable host body to latch onto.

Parasites are mostly found in freshwater fish, like salmon and eel . . . they're supposed to either flash freeze the meat, or hold it up to a bright light to look for cysts.

I thought it was just to cleanse the palate between bites or other types of sushi. I should look into things a bit more, i haven't heard that but it sounds about right. I have sushi several nights a week, i love it, but my wallet doesn't.

For a belly ache my mom used to give me coke and I think it worked, I have not tried beer for a belly ache. For Mexican beer I like Leon, Indio and Noche Buena.

An old remedy for stomach aches is "cola syrup," which can be purchased over the counter at some pharmacies. Anything carbonated will not. Warm, flat Coke should work.

My grandmother had many stomach difficulties before she died, and her doctor told her to drink 4-6 ounces of beer when her stomach was upset. I find that after a few Negro Modelos with lime, I just don't care if my stomach hurts.

I think Corona is the only one with 100% genuine Mexican pee additive. That could be the reason.

I drink ginger ale when I fly. Mostly because I drank ginger ale the first time I flew. Now it's a superstition more than anything.

My wife got flat ginger ale as a kid and I got it with the bubbles, but then again, her peeps are Italian and mine are Irish, so what do they know about drinking?

Bubbles in my ginger ale, please.

For that matter, I also like bubbles in my bubbly.

I think it's the skunk extract.

Wonder why people put limes in their Corona? It's the mask the stale skunky taste. I opened one the other night and had to pour it out. I've never had a Corona that tasted really good, but this one was worse than usual. I think the culprit is the clear bottles, but Mexican pee could be a contributing factor.

One might cure what ails you, but I haven't tried that. I can tell you that roughly 23 of them over a few hours will lead to all sorts of other problems, the physical ones often being the least of your worries!
