The Day The Music Died.

My 14 year old has really taken a liking to SRV and I often him playing his stuff on his Gibson.

Amazing how someone who passed still has an influence.....

I am in the process of building him a "relic" copy of SRV's #1 Strat.
 
Stevie helped me thru highschool, my grandmothers death, and my divorce. He played with heart felt feeling on every note when everyone else played for precise empty speed.
 
I have very album he ever produced and find myself judging every new blues guitarist I hear by his standard. Ironically, the saddest thing I ever heard was his brother playing Stevie's music in a tribute some years ago. His brother can't hold a candle to Stevie's talent.
