Excluding obvious ones like "I wish X was Y price so I could afford it" and "I wish Z brand would make decent knives", I have a few:

- Boker making their Magnum lineup available in premium materials per custom order

- Zero Tolerance making a 4" cutting edge wharncliffe bearing flipper, as a regular production piece

- Spyderco releasing a 10V Manix 2

- Benchmade making a LSCF Crooked River with a green pivot collar and a zirconium bolster (the only possible gold class I would ever buy at full retail and then use the heck out of)

- Kershaw replacing all of their "speedsafe" mechanisms with KVT.

- See above

- No seriously Kershaw go do that right now

- Cold Steel making the following folders in 3V: Rajah II, Tuff Lite, Spartan

I daydream about folders in PM steels with paper thin blades with a gentle convex grind towards the edge. Slice like an Opinel and hold an edge just south of forever.

I dream of Kershaw slapping a buttonlock on an affordable KVT flipper.

I dream of modern Buck knives with the convenience, quality and innovation of the Marksman, but the aesthetics and design language of their iconic lockbacks.

I dream of a Leatherman with pliers, hammer pommel, bit driver, can/bottle opener, carbide saw, file and nothing else.

A Harsey/ZT 4.5"-5" fixed blade collaboration would be incredible.
Also a ZT 3" XM-18 in a true slicer grind and high edge retention steel (204P/20CV; M4; S90v, etc)

ZT is my go-to for high quality budget collabs, so I would love a CRK G10 model just to play with...

See, now I have a new one. Zero Tolerance / CRK collaboration - a 3.75"-4" Insingo Flipper with a ceramic lock interface. Brushed Ti handles inlaid with carbon fiber.

Im with ya on the cold steel dreams. The rest i have no interest in myself...but i do have my own wish list.

Oh, I also dream of the G&G Hawk Grip Clip on basically every folder.

You can get it on Benchmades and some ZTs, and with a file it'll fit on just about anything.

As for me? I dream of a world where Spyderco grinds their knives even thinner and produces innumerable LH models.

I dream of a A G Russell lockback barlow, same length and steel, only without the lockback and have a thumbstud. A thumbstud would be great on a barlow slippy for those of us old geezers who use a cane.

Im with you on the zt wharncliffe. As for kershaw, i just wish they would at least get rid of the speedsafe. Instead of kvt i would like to see kershaw use better steel more consistently.

Boker would have to vastly improve fit and fitness on their Boker Magnums as well, premium materials alone wouldn't do the trick. I have a Boker Magnum with metal scales that you are more likely to accidentally cut yourself on the scales than you are with the blade. It could be a good knife, but simply throwing an SV35N blade and G10 scales on it wouldn't make it so, unless they improved fit and finish as part of the deal.

I am with you on Kershaw replacing their SpeedSafe mechanisms with KVT or similar design. Assisted opening = blleeecchhh.

ZT releasing more 3" folders
Delica with a choil
Boker making the XS slipjoint into a lock back/mid lock
Serrations on knives placed on the correct side
More custom designs from Andrew Demko
Benchmade making a 3" Adamas

I kinda figured it went without saying that the build quality would be better.

RIGHT? This 3CR business is a joke. It's weird to watch Kershaw backslide from 12c27 to 14c28 to 8cr to 3cr... It used to be that only their Walmart specials had 3cr, and now they are putting out full production models using blade steel just a hair better than Boker Magnums.

Cold Steel Tuff Lite with CTS-XHP blade, four way clip, Ti scale on clip side, Cold Steel's smooth G10 on the other, with a deep carry clip.

I deam of full flat ground, uncoated slicers. They, like unicorns, seem to be becoming extinct.

And I dream of unicorns. On rainbows. That I ride while I'm eating an Italian beef sandwich with some giardiniera.
