I was wondering if someone had to pick one knife from each company to represent that company, which knife would you choose?

Benchmade: Model 710
Kershaw: Onion Family Leek
SOG: Tech Bowie (Folding: Trident)
Spyderco: Endura (no surprise there)
Byrd (Yes I know it's still Spyderco): Cara Cara
Cold Steel: Voyager
CRKT: M16 series

Busse: FSH (maybe BM but FSH is on the logo so thats why)

Can't agree with this list:

Okay... it HAS to be the SOG bowie. That's what the company is pretty much based on.
Spyderco: Endura (no surprise there)
Delica is the classic spyderco
Byrd (Yes I know it's still Spyderco): Cara Cara
Cold Steel: Voyager
I'd have to go with the trailmaster here
CRKT: M16 series
I'm not sure about the other ones, and I'm not sure if you're asking what we think, or what the flagship model is for any given company.
Here's a couple of no brainers:
CRK: Sebenza
Kabar: Marine fighting knife

Imperial-Schrade: 34OT Old Timer
Benchmade: Griptilian
Gerber: Sportsman

Spyderco: Military (although I do also like the Endura)
Case: Trapper (based upon the sheer numbers & variations they market in this pattern)
Case (my favorite): 75 pattern large stockman
CRK: Sebenza
Buck: 110 (maybe THE DEFINITIVE LOCKBACK of all time)
Ka-Bar: USMC Combat/Fighting Knife fixed blade

For me these are the knives or tools I'd pick.

Kershaw: Random Task
Benchmade: Griptillian
Spyderco: Military
Buck: 110
ZT: 0300
Leatherman: PST
SOG: PowerPlier

idk guys, wasn't it the native that was supposed to have been designed in the dark? IMO that best fits the spyderco mentality of design. Performance over aesthetics. Otherwise I'd say the delica/standard is the definitive spyderco.

Spyderco native - (performance over looks)
buck 110 - (iconic classic American knife)
kbar usmc - (no explanation needed)
case - large cv stockman (jack of all trades)
esee/rat rc-3 - (highest selling, best all around knife)
gerber gator - (ugly, cheap, but still a decent value)
crkt m16 - (lots of inovation between veff serations and the hawks lock, but poor steel)
kershaw leek - (ken onion design, speed safe assisted opening and good build quality for the masses)
Benchmade griptillian - ( good steel, stellar lock, terrible handle choice and great fit and finish, Haven't found one yet that didn't have a achilles heel. )
Queen Country Cousin - (bringing d2 to the old styles)
Extrema Ratio 185 RAO - (for when you need a folding fixed blade...)
Busse, scrapyard, swamprat Dog Father Types - (Thats not a knife, this is a knife...)
SOG SOGZilla - (what do you mean it looks like an endura?!)

Don't mean to be too harsh with some of those, I just think its comical how some companies behave, Still love them all

Benchmade's logo is the butterfly. I would suggest their definitive knife is probably a butterfly knife.

For Emerson I would think it would have to be the six.

BM- 42 or Grip, I think each warrants it's own vote since they're in different categories
Kershaw- Leek, speaks for itself
Spyderco- Military, if I had a dollar for every time I've seen it recommended...
Leatherman- Wave, by far IMO the best Leatherman design
Buck- 110, quite possibly the most iconic folder of all time

Nice thread-
Benchmade Griptilian plain edge.
Spyderco Military
Buck 110
Queen Canoe in D2
Case Swayback Gent chestnut bone CV.

RAT: Izula or RC-4?

Now known as ESEE, but I'd wager it's the Izula. Sure, their focus is on survival type training, and the Izula can be a bit small for many tasks.

But I'm pretty sure the Izula outsells anything else they offer BY FAR, and also sees the most real world use. And if anything, ESEE takes a realistic stand on things, and in this day and age a small neck knife can be far more useful than a "survival knife" for most tasks.

though the RC-5 is what got me interested in them at first, though now I really like thin knives. Go figure

Benchmade: Model 710, Grip, BM42
Kershaw: Leek, etc
Spyderco: Delica, Endura, Mili, to a lesser extent Police SS
CRKT: M16 series (I think that after K.O joined them, lots of "classic" CRKTs are going to be his designs)
Victorinox-Got to go with the Soldier here
