Gentlemen:

A few years ago, there was a monster buck in my hunting area - he was tearing up big trees and fence posts all over the place to let his presence be known. We named him The Destroyer and I ended up harvesting this big 185 lb. nine point with a 20 inch spread. I decided to name this subhilt chopper after him as I was doing the finish grinds. The Destroyer Subhilt Chopper is full tang design and is my heaviest knife to date with lots of forward momentum by tipping the scales at 1 lb 3 oz. I decided to gain the extra purchase a large handle or lanyard gives by adding a comfortable subhilt to the large contoured handle. The full flat grinds were taken to .040" then a convex edge was applied - it's hair splitting sharp. The blade was hand rubbed to 2000 grit and etched to show a vivid hamon. Spectacular Desert Ironwood Burl scales with superb fit and finish. I haven't made the sheath yet so you lefties can specify your needs. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it" gets it. $450 plus $20 shipping - either Paypal to tksteingass@frontier.com or a USPS money order please. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

Best regards,

TK

Fantastic knife! Is the Destroyer deer the one you have pictured, I can't make out all of the tines? :)

IOWA: Glad you like it! The buck on my website was a Kansas 200 lb nine point. The Destroyer was a Pennsylvania buck. :)

You should come to Iowa, you may be able to beat your record! They are THICK & BIG this year here in Eastern Iowa...take care!

Looks good but the hardening is aweful close to the edge.

The clay was set 1/2" along the edge and I doubt very much anyone will ever sharpen the The Destroyer past that. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening - remember?

Man that is a beast of a knife! I love the shape of that blade, never would have though to see one combined with a subhilt, great idea. I love your knives usually for the fine execution and detail, I love this one because it looks like it could get a guy home from some bad places.

Red and all - thanks for the positive feedback - you're all very kind.

I won't be making many of these so, buy it while it's available now is all I can say to you fellas "on the edge" towards dropping the hammer. The Destroyer is a benchmade chopper, and this is not a production line!!

The Destroyer was not purchased within 24 hours of posting. I have withdrawn it.
