The difficulty in using your irreplaceable user customs

The owner of this knife obviously didn't hesitate to carry and use his Tony Bose custom. Think that blade style is called a worn-clip.

Fasteddie, that sure looks like knife abuse to me.

I am torn on this subject as I carry most all my Microtechs and limeted edition Benchmades, but I do hesitate with the few customs I own. I'll carry my Elishewitz or Gil Hibben handmades, but only if there is little risk that they'll need to endure hard use and will usually carry something else to do any real cutting. I've got a Mayo on order and do expect to use it when it finally arrives, but only time will tell if I've got the stomach for it.

Hmmm. On ebay that would be considered "mint." ;)

Tom Mayo makes a great knife for carrying and using. I have a medium by him that I always carry when I'm around water, particularly salt water. Actually, in the water, in the zippered pocket of my trunks. Last summer I didnt have anything else to clean fish with, so I used my TNT. When I got home it still smelled bad, so I disassembled it, washed it, put it back together along with one drop of Chris Reeve grease and its was like new again. Can't do that with a slip joint. Don't know what Tom's feelings are now, but when I first started talking with him, he was glad to hear that his knife was being used.
