The Domino - My New EDC>>>>>>>>

IMG_0556.JPG

Thats pretty awesome, i loooove the acid stonewash.
I would love that on mine, but i dont Wanja build a stonewashmachine for one knife... And i dont know if i want to send it to Merica for that mod only.. Wll be a expensive mod :( and i think there is no one here in Sweden who mod knives. :(

I can't get over how smooth this thing is opening with the hole.. in a normal, slow motion.

I guess the over-travel bar isn't really a reliable stop for how far too push over? As it doesn't hit until the titanium framelock is well beyond where it is flush.

I'd say it definitely hits before the lock bar is stressed enough to permanently relieve tension though, which is its purpose.

I have never used it in normal operation, but it is a last resort safety I guess. I am conflicted whether or not it is necessary or just a waste myself.

Something about the smoothness of the flipping action makes me always want to carry it..
It's awesome!

I love the feel of the Domino when you open it with the spydie hole. It has a gritty yet smooth feel to it.

I have one on the way, until I watched a video comparing the size with PM2/Sage I thought it might be to small for me.

I agree with the OP. The Domino may well the the closest to a perfect EDC knife I've owned. I'm still carrying mine ever day since it arrived.

Just curious how the OP and others who enjoyed their Domino are liking their knives a few months down the road.

I'm still carrying it a few times a week. I'd like it better with a different scale...I'm sort of irritated the sprint run version came out with the nicer looking blue black carbon fiber scale.

Hey, thanks for the update. I actually transitioned away from it and ended up just coming back. I appreciate that its a feature rich knife that is just so dang smooth. I actually prefer the black original to the blue. Guess that scale is whats causing everyone to either love it or hate it.. still.

Great flipper implementations like Spyderco Domino and ZT 0801 have proven that you really do not need assisted opening with torsion bars with their own set of possible advantages and several disadvantages.
Well said!

I've read and heard so many good things about the Domino that I finally took the plunge and ordered one. It's inbound and I'm sure it will give my CQC-7 a run for the money.

The Domino is a really nice knife. I'm debating whether I want to modify mine or sell it at the moment. I could be really happy with it but I think I'm going to hunt down my grail. The Domino stock is awesome, custom scales and maybe some rounding of the spine would make it that much better.

That's exactly what I had done to mine. Obviously custom scales adds a personalized touch, but the rounded spine adds alot of class. Especially when considering how sharp the spine is straight from the factory.
