About 15 years ago at the Blade show I saw Bob Dozier demonstrate his grinder and decided I had to have one. The Dozier grinder is very well made. It is solid, quiet, vibration free, and tracks very well. The tension mechanism on the Dozier grinder uses compressed air. As the belt stretches, the tension also increases. The Dozier grinder is a quick change grinder. Loosen a bolt or two, slide the contact wheel, small wheel, platen, out, slide another one in and you are ready to go.
The one thing I don't like about the Dozier grinder is, I think the drive wheel is too small. The grinder does not have enough rpm's to suite me. I could get a larger drive wheel, but since I have other grinders, I haven't felt the need to.
In the pictures I have a extra long glass platen attached to the Dozier grinder.
