Waiting for my first busse a cg ash-1 to arrive is a bit like watching paint dry or fingernails grow, Ive read just about everything busse related. I'm running out of threads of infi destroying things lol Anyone know the feeling?

Congrats on getting your grail ASH-1 CG! You think it is bad now wait till you buy your next one as you will know what you are getting in INFI. The second one is far worse so I suggest going on a three day bender while you wait for shipping.

Thanks Barbarossa, if by 3 day bender you mean 3 days of celebratory drinking I've already started lol I've already started eye balling other busse blades, i dont know how my ole lady gonna like this

Nah! No idea what your talking about, or why anyone would be so obsessed with a knife...
It's not like I ordered a Rucki from the Swamp, then proceeded to find the BF Exchange and buy half-a-dozen more Busse knives while waiting or anything...

Congratulations!!!!! OINK!!!!!! :D

Congrats and welcome !!!! One is were it starts :) lol and you started with IMO a great blade. What kind of pants are you thinking of for that beauty ? Hope you post some pics when it's in your hand

Congrats on the Score and Welcome to the Madness........Now Stick the Credit Card in the freezer to cool it down....This also helps to delay the time it takes to make another purchase cuz you have to chip it out of the ice....:d

You are a man after my own heart.... horizontal carrying an ASH1. Let Dave know that is what you are looking at as I am sure he can fit you up. I have a "Murf's Paw" kydex seath for one of mine that is set up that way, it is a big reassuring lump of steel to have sitting there.... :D

thanks, and that is good advice

I carry my becker bk2 horizontally on my front left side for the easiest right hand draw, Is a tek lok strong enough to support the weight of the knife in this position? Yes it is definitely a nice feeling

That's a HEAVY Slab of Steel....you're gonna need suspenders to hold your britches up....not to worry when people see that ASH-1 they won't even notice the suspenders....:D

LOL suspenders, 2 inch belt holds weight a little better but still like having a toaster attached your belt. The ease of one handed sheathing and unsheathing is well worth the slight annoyance to me.

HA!!!! Sorry but we got it easy now days. I remember the day (yes I am actually using that phrase...god help me) when we had to wait up to a year to get a Busse. Usually 6 months or so but at the time I thought it was the craziest thing.....Until I got it in my hands of course, then it was worth every second!!

Hang in there bro.....Good things come to those who wait.

God that's 2 phrases my folks used to use......I'm getting old. Dagnabbit!

ugh....that's 3. Help!

Army,

Glad you got your ASH knife, Congrats!
While your waiting, look at some others......buy,drink,repeat....

When I finally got my very first CG ASH-1 I couldn't imagine any knife being more massive. Now that I've owned more than my share of FSH's, BM's, Gladius, Waki's, it doesn't quite seem so huge. As far as the horizontal carry goes, if you are comfortable carrying a holstered and loaded semi-auto, the ASH-1 shouldn't be a problem. The weights are very comparable. Now if you were carrying both an ASH-1 and a semi-auto, I might see some suspenders being needed. I don't think I would go with a single Tek-Lok though, if carrying horizontal I could see needing two belt attachment points because of the length of blade and sheath. I would likely go with a sheath with two integral loops rather than tek-lok's, seems it would keep the blade closer to the body and be less bulky that way.

The waiting is the worst part. Hopefully the Post Office will be on the ball and you will see your blade before Christmas.

I like the two loop idea, if only there was a way to have the 2 loops and still be able to vertical carry if i wanted ill email david brown, tracking says MO will be there the 19th. Im more than used to having items on my belt becomes second nature.Once again thanks a bunch for the knife.
