I'm fairly new here but I can already say that since I've found BFC knifes really became a hobby for me. Before I've always been interested in blades and I always carried some pocket knife if sometímes "only" a SAK or mulitool.

Besides I'm surrounded by sheeple so it's nice discussing with other people who see knifes as tools like me and not necessarily as weapons.
Yesterday I had just another of these depressing experiences. I was at a barbeque party. When somebody needed to open a package of sausages I helped out with my BM Ascent. Of course I didn't get thanks but had to justify myself for carrying a weapon. Sheesh.

So it's a pleasure being here. I'm glad I found you guys!

James, thanks for the compliment. I personally appreciate being considered crazy, especially considering what passes for sane in many places, here included. This is a good thread, it helps to see that others get as much out of this place as I do. The world can be a lonely place at times.
