Up for sale are the first four blades of a new pattern named for my Grandfather who recently passed. Hopefully they will be the first of many.
The knife below is sold!!!
This full-tang small hunter features a 3 1/2" blade deeply hollow ground from 1/8" D2 tool steel - Heat-treated, cryoed and tempered in house to 61Rc. The bevels are belt finished on a fine scotch-brite belt, while the flats and spine are mirror-polished. Three of these are handled in desert ironwood and feature brown dyed clip sheaths, the last is handled in black and red micarta with a black sheath.
Overall length is 7 3/4" with an 1 1/8" deep blade. Handles are secured with a 1/4" stainless corby fastener at the front and a 3/8" stainlesss lanyard tube at the rear.
Leatherwork on these knives was done by David Doerr, full-time leatherman and maker of finely crafted saps, blackjacks, and impact tooling at www.D3protection.com. The sheaths are wet formed and lined with veggie-tan leather - making them more durable and puncture-resistant than comparable pouch-type sheaths. I cannot give enough compliments to Dave's work.
Price for these is $165 Shipped in north america
Thanks for the looks, have a good one,
Nathan
