With the last three knives in sight, I feel very at peace with myself, that I'm finally nearing the end of my knife selection, assortment, accumulation, collection, whatever word you prefer.
To those who don't know, I bought and sold off my knives in repeat more times than I care to remember, but I have found the knives I won't sell, but has also satisfy me in every way that I don't need to buy more

who else has, are, is, reaching this journey?

That is a great place to be. Congrats to you. I am researching the journey as well. Lots of ballast to discharge. I have often thought a person can get by most of their lives with a Buck 110 and 119 for most outdoors things and a decent kitchen utility knife and call it done. Saying is one thing, doing is another!

With a name like that you should have more wisdom 😂. That’s like an addict speaks, “just so you all know, this is my last one. After these next 3 I need to get, but then I’m done!”🤣

I’m my experience I go through phases of the knife bug but it never goes away completely. It’s ok to take a break and pop in every once in awhile to see what’s new. She’s a patient beast, always waiting for you to return.

I like knives. New knives are released all the time. I don't think I will ever be done until I get to the point where I start to sense my physical machine running down the clock and need to start to jettison stuff.

Right now, I buy what i like. I carry what I keep. I gift what doesn't make the cut to others if it makes sense. My tastes have changes over the last 35 years of collecting, and I anticipate they will keep changing as life weaves it's course.

I'll never draw a line in the sand as I enjoy this hobby too much. The innovation, the performance, the utility of the "perfect" knife for the right occasion, and the friends I've picked up on the way. For me, it has never been about accumulation. It's been about appreciation.

I feel like I am in that place too, thanks to BF. 35 years after the journey started :)

I think I am blessed to have been able to find and to have been able to get my ultimate folder and fixed knives.

I have not purchased anything since, yet I still like to hear about the new releases, new technologies and art pieces.
