The Erickson Experience

Yep ! galvanic brought one like that to the Middletown show last weekend, but I've not seen that on an American made knife.

You can never go wrong with a rat tail. Can't wait to see it.

But...back to the Erickson's. I never tire of seeing his or Ken C's.

What Middletown show?

It's a great knife and couldn't have gone to a better home.

The heck you say. :). I know a better home for it.

So,

I got Gig's address. :D. Short drive for a new knife that knocks my socks off.
Congrats my brother ;).

I thought you were a single blade slipjoint guy? Has that doggone Bastid turned you into a stinkin' multiblader?

Most of my slippie gathering consists of single-bladed wonders. I can count on two hands how many multi-bladed slippies I possess. :D

Bastid's definition of "multi-blade". . . . . .a knife that has twelve or more blades. :p

Nice score.

Ahh the Erickson experience... Ken is such a treasure to order a knife from. His attention to detail during the ordering process is only overshadowed by his attention to detail in the making of the knife itself.

You said it right , " Experience ". When I think of pleasurable buying experiences , I can't think of any finer that buying ( and using ) an Erickson knife direct from Ken.

Hell, I'll take those multiblades off your hands. Save you the trouble of counting.

Very nice score.

That dogleg is nice! Congrats to Ken, and to GigOne!

Super Dogleg Jack, Gig!.

I would love to know which exact pattern he modeled after. It looks like a vintage S&M but he may have expanded on that design somewhat.

Again I say, Superbly produced!.

Anthony,

I know Ken was working with an old "Eclipse" dogleg jack. IIRC, these were primarily made by Boker back in the day.

Yep,that's what he told me,too. The "Eclipse"
He said he looked at many & decided to use that as his example,on this knife
Again,it came out awesome,a really great job "rounding" the bolsters &overall handle, another detail on old knives that sometimes gets lost in the making of a custom version.

Thanks for all the kind comments that have been posted here in this thread. I really do appreciate them!

I did base this pattern off of the Eclipse that Charlie (waynorth) was kind enough to spend his time finding, purchasing, shipping to Me when I made it known I was interested in adding this pattern to my list.

Here is a picture of the Eclipse . Its a tad OVER 3 3/4 closed but I wanted to scale it down a bit. It looks almost as if its the same size in the picture.

Thanks for sharing the pic, Ken. And thanks to waynorth !

Too cool !

Ken, thank you for the information, always especially pleasing to hear the other side of the story. Thanks also to Charlie, Both of you are real credits to BladeForums and one of the reasons I hang around.
