I wish I was there for the start but I'm hoping some of you who could will post info on what Buck has put together for us!

That sale always costs me twice what I planned on spending. I left at 2:00 and there was still a pretty good crowd.

me too--didn't want to spend that much and dang they run it all week and I cant stay away---so mo money by the end of the week...

DOGPOUND77, What's in those boxes with the pilfer proof tape? Looks like the same box that the 110/120 Cocobolo Combo sets came in.

Since those guys are probably standing in line right now to get back in, I’ll answer...

The red arrows are stickers marking any blemishes.

Thankyou. Yeah it makes sense but I wasn't certain. I zoomed in and saw that they were actually arrows and not dots. I was unable to detect any flaws but figured that the arrows were pointing to something. Maybe that they were 75th anniversay editions, but that was obvious from the start.

In another pic I saw boxes of knives loaded in a vehicle. After zooming in I could see that some had the phrase "factory blem" printed on them. Do you know if Buck puts a mark or stamp on the knives themselves so at a later date they cannot be returned as defects?

Even blemished knives look good and will still function as the tools that they were intended to be. And what a great way to get an additional discount on a knife that you were going to use anyhow.

WOW!!! Keep those pics coming, guys. I'm sitting here after having both knees replaced last week. These are definitely brightening my spirits. Spoke to a good buddy on Thanksgiving Day that moved to Post Falls last year. Some day.

they used etch on the blade fb=factory blem--they quit doing that because the blem is cosmetic and has nothing to do with the performance of the knife or the blade-so even the factory blems have the same forever warranty as a standard knife--the chances of it failing are no more than any other knife...so to answer your question -no they do not at this time put any markings that it is fb....
not standing in line today---got behind yesterday having too much fun that I did not go today-makael did-just talked to him -some new stuff---I will go again tomorrow and leave my credit card at home---right:D
