The Impact line in general are excellent knives. In keeping with consistent KaBar quality. The one feature I like specifically is the full tang which in combination with the micarta handles, creates an extremely tough knife. Should you require it, I'm sure that light prying, using it as a step etc would work and it makes for a more worry free thrower if you're into that now and again.all Impact series-except for the Combat-are fairly short. You may have a reason for picking the tanto blade but unless this is for defense, I might suggest the spearpoint as it's a more versatile and easier to sharpen blade.Tanto's look nice but in use tend to limit you.
