Sooo what can you do with a 15" M43, a cheap Michigan axe, and a Whackin' stick for a baton?
Now not ALL of that wood was split with just the khuk and the axe. A lot of it was small enough. However, with the coming deep freeze, I wanted to make sure I had enough cut up to burn during the 2 degree nights.
Using nothing more than my khuk and a hastily made baton, I was able to split enough kindling in a couple hours to start a good fire for the next week at least
I took it nice and easy as my elbow is just now starting to feel well enough to abuse a bit It really wasn't any work at all. Just a nice relaxing Sunday project to do while we were at a balmy 36 degrees outside
