The Fate of the Nation

I personally don't see Bush as sadistic because the state of Texas has executed capital criminals. Gore wants to pass more laws against "hate crimes", whatever those are. If the laws currently on the books were upheld, the victims of heinous crimes would have rights instead of the criminals on death row. I believe those who truly value life should support capital punishment. Also, I would rather make decisions about my life than have the government tell me how I should live. My religion dictates my behaviour, it shouldn't be the government's business. Certainly, we need laws to protect us from violent people, as mentioned above, but beyond that we should be allowed life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I second that. This nation is falling apart. The fault is on the liberal. I really hope that Bush gets in this year. I don't know if he will be able to do anything, but it will help. The nation has gotten so weak over the past 8 years. It's pathetic. We don't do anything anymore. Nations in the middle east bomb our troops, and we do nothing. I can't stand the democrats. If I had it my way we would park a few destroyers off the coast and bomb the crap out if Yemen! Even if we were going to do that we couldn't, because Clinton has gotten rid of the whole armed forces. I just hope for the future of the US that Bush gets into office and accomplishes some great things, and puts this country back on track

THANKS!!!

Tom I couldnt agree more!! Although Bush isnt quite as staunch as I would like I also realize we dont live in a time when a REAL patriot could get elected..
What with half the country making up thier minds by seeing how well a candidate can tongue his wife on stage, or make up the biggest lie, it just isnt in the cards.
All I know is we have to get some DECENT people in the Supreme Court, get the Military back on its feet, and STOP the gushing wound that has been bleeding our National Defense Secrets. Not to mention the absolute moral decay that has been fostered by this crew of Liberal Hypocrites. Al ***** and Joseph LIEberman just dont strike me as people who will stop this stuff:-)

When people ask me why I hate Liberal Democrats so much I say.."Its simple they will CRY for murdurers and rapist', and sentence 9 month old babies to death everyday. They will take away our rights to defense while they or their body guards carry the same weapons they think we dont need" They think they can raise my children better than I can" Any other questions?

I will get to the polls and will drag my friends with me!!! Vote EARLY and OFTEN!

Anyone ever go watch a movie because it was being raved about by the critics, then found out it was one of the worst movies ever. I think the media does this in several matters. They show what they want to, so that they get more coverage. For instance the LA riots, I believe the media pushed every negative issue about this until a riot erupted. This of course gave them something else to cover. In my opinion I believe they do the same thing with presidential elections, they make the idiot look good so he will get in office and screw up. Just look how much Clinton gave them to talk about. Just food for thought when you here the media saying a particular cantidate is an idiot. We need an unbiased media.

Then again, maybe I'm Paranoid.

Just a few things--
In this country I have the freedom to be wrong and stupid, Mr. Gore is going to try to take that freedom from me. I can't let him take away the only thing I'm good at.
As long as my stupidity does nothing to restrict your freedoms or others, I should have that freedom. We do NOT live in a democracy where the majority rules. This would be Tyrany.

Our form of gov. can only exist with a moral people. The less morality the more laws we need. Our founding fathers were concerned about this 200 years ago. Look at the difference. Now the changes in our constitution are to make up for our immorality.

I vote for far less government.

Even though we are going down a scarry road---- GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!!!!
please

This obviously excludes you.

Mr. Clinton and Mr. Gore however, would seem to agree with you.

Herman, you got anymore "trophy's" left?

What can I say.

Howie-

Another shining example of why there should be an Ammendment requiring non-thinking liberals to wait until their 80th birthday to vote.

I'm not liberal... just jaded. I hate some left wing views as much as I hate some right wing views. I have very strong feelings both ways. FWIW, I would have voted for Dole four years ago if I had been old enough.

Don't associate Gore with Clinton's being a fiend. It isn't his fault. Who was Bush before he was President? That's right- Reagan's VP. I don't think I need to go into that.

If you want a morally correct president, vote for... um, lemme get back to you on that. I, for one, DO want a true statesman as President. As far as I know, T. Roosevelt and Carter have been the only ones in the last 100 years.

No one misinterpreted my statement about the Constitution. I think I just worded it poorly. One of you mentioned making amendments; I think THAT'S the key. I DO beleive that we shouldn't get too caught up in a document. In the meantime, I can't think of anything better, so I'll deal with it, but if I ever think of an alternative, you can be damn sure I'll make a big deal about it.

I'm out of this one. I honestly don't know how I made three posts in this thread without feeling the urge to bathe in bleach.

I agree with full tang clan,,I welcome everyones point of view...here is mine; I believe that a President is elected for two reasons-One is to run the "business" of the country and the other is to provide adequate protection against a forein aggressor through a full time military. That's it. Nothing more. He is not my moral compass. Thank goodness that every job in our country doesn't require you to have never lied, cheated on your wife or looked at an adult magazine, otherwise most of us imperfect people wouldn't have a job. As for me, I've just spent the last 8 years prosperous and protected. So, if you want any chance for that prosperity to continue I suggest you vote Gore. Trickle down economics has never worked. And remember you can be passionately wrong. Just my opinion.

Howie,

Thanks for clarifying. It seemed like you were stating that the Constitution should be thrown out. That is what I based my response on.

Notdos,

Please get real. Explain to me how Clinton/Gore are solely responsible for ANY of the good things in America today. Please. Name ONE good thing that Clinton/Gore have done for this country in the past 8 years that wasn't politically motivated and self-serving. Clinton/Gore are all about soap opera and neither have a moral or ethical leg to stand on. You abviously watch too much Rosie.

Just MY opinion.

Sincerely,
Chris
