Wow. I am glad I did not check this late last night after a 10 hour drive otherwise I would have never been able to get to sleep.
I don't know much else to say other than a big thank you to Whitty and your continued generosity to the knife community as a whole and your special attention to Fiddleback Forge and the other talented GA knifemakers. I admired Andy's work for quite some time but was always hesitant to take the jump and step up to a high quality handmade knife. Ironically, a certain a. blackwood Nessmuk ended up at USAMade Blade (twice actually, a customer returned it much to my benefit) and that was the beginning of the end. So I should be thanking you twice Whitty, not only for this and what you do for us, but also for pushing me over that edge into this fine community and into a ever growing, and sometimes changing, set of fantastic knives.
I always know I can jump on the forums here and talk or read about Fiddlebacks, but I do find it special off the forums when I share a picture of a knife or offer a recommendation and start a conversation with someone that has a fresh excitement over Andy, Allen, Chris, and all the other great knife makers that have come through the Fiddleback shop. To me this was a pretty cool contest even though something I have always done because I really like these knives, and I hope to continue spreading the word.
Thanks again Whitty, now the tough decision. Thank you everyone
