I tossed the factory Brass Bolsters, used some very hard to cut .040 6AL-4V Titanium liners, shape out some 1/8" Full Weave Carbon Fiber Scales, add some Venting, a Thumb Stud, .005 bronze blade bushings for nice action, and a Trusty Pocket Clip keeps it tight in your pocket/ A bolted together frame, and some finger grooves makike it nice to hold. I also, as always, stamp the lock JAG, and you have yourself one nice Custom 110 . Comes with new factory nylon sheath. (Which you won't want to use, the pocket clip is perfect, won't come out of your jeans even if you were hanging upside down.)
Would be a great EDC knife. Strong and light. (3.4 oz less than half a factory 110)
You ( or I ) can easily swap in a premium blade if wanted, thanks to it's bolt together design.
I must mention that since this is a modified factory knife that the Buck warranty doesn't apply here. However, if you should have a defect in worksmanship (or even a broke blade) I will warranty it for you.
$325 is as low as I can go on this one.
Satisfaction guaranteed!
Heres some recent feedback on a Titanium Carbon Fiber Knife A firefighter gave me:
Hello Jerad, Your workmanship in knife making is really a professional
craftsman piece. I have owned Buck knives for a long time living in San Diego/El Cajon. Sorry to see them go. I am not a collector per se, but as a Firefighter proper quality tools are essential........
Shipped insured from Canada.
I am not responsible for Customs or Cuts!
