I think I can safely say that...

Had a bit of CNC down time over the weekend so I played with an additional texture for the CRYO II. I mapped my Predator Plate texture onto the slab and the result is one for the quiver! It's a keeper... I'll be milling this one in the next week or two... pics to follow.

That knife in the last pic, previous post--Looks Awesome! I would love to have that done to my Cryo II.

So the slanted Anso is more to your liking... either can be had.

I have two Cryo II's in transit that I plan to modify to G10... I will doing one of each. I'll post them here...

How much for one of these scales?

I'd much rather discuss pricing with PM's but apparently you are not receiving PM's...

Slab replacement with double side machining to retain Speedsafe... single color G10 in either the slanted Anso OR the Predator Plate texture... $33.00 USD delivery included w/tracking number (CONUS).

Currently running a two month backlog. Also... as time allows I'll be adding new textures...

That's great, I'll look forward to those pics.

Fantastic work!
New to BladeForums and very interested in ordering a set of the g10 scales. Unable to PM unfortunately. Let me know how to contact you and arrange for payment.

A big plus for me, other than the pure aesthetics is the G10 scales, it's going to be much lighter, an advantage in the pocket for EDC. Superb job Steve.

The replacement G10 will be lighter than the stainless slab... however I haven't weighed anything as my gram scale battery has died. I would guess the savings of G10 over the stainless to be in grams rather than ounces. The stainless OEM slab is .112" thick. The G10 replacement G10 slab starts out life at .162". That extra bit of thickness is due to the surface sculpting depth necessary to machine the texture. The stainless is a denser material but the increased G10 slab thickness shows a bit of weight too. Just hand juggling and swapping hands isn't at all a scientific process... but the G10 does feel slightly lighter. I suppose a new battery is in order...!

I ordered a pair of scales in Coyote Brown a few weeks ago, one in Anso and one in Predator. The workmanship and precision was excellent!

Fast forward to today, the Cryo II Tanto BlackWash knives finally arrived. Some field stripping, cleaning, polishing of contact surfaces, teflon grease, and BAM, some beautiful Coyote Brown Cryo II's!
I must say that the black hardware, BlackWash blade, and frame really set off the Coyote G-10 color.

I also managed to get some data while I was doing this mod. Here are the weight measurements I independently captured:
Kershaw 1556TBW (Cryo II Tanto BlackWash)
Factory Weight: 161.5grams (5.70oz)
G-10 Scale Installed: 126.7grams (4.47oz)

Weight Savings: 34.8grams (1.23oz)

Between the two texture patterns, the Predator pattern has really grown on me and become my favorite.
