The FIRST G10 CRYO II on the Planet...!

I've done just one in jade... with the high oblique Anso pattern... I also created an inner pocket for a disc of moonglow which is visible next to the lanyard tube. Because of the transparent properties of the ghost jade... the light striking the slab gets transmitted AND reflected making the texture difficult to descriminate...

I ordered a pair of scales in Coyote Brown a few weeks ago, one in Anso and one in Predator. The workmanship and precision was excellent!

Fast forward to today, the Cryo II Tanto BlackWash knives finally arrived. Some field stripping, cleaning, polishing of contact surfaces, teflon grease, and BAM, some beautiful Coyote Brown Cryo II's!
I must say that the black hardware, BlackWash blade, and frame really set off the Coyote G-10 color.

I also managed to get some data while I was doing this mod. Here are the weight measurements I independently captured:
Kershaw 1556TBW (Cryo II Tanto BlackWash)
Factory Weight: 161.5grams (5.70oz)
G-10 Scale Installed: 126.7grams (4.47oz)

Weight Savings: 34.8grams (1.23oz)

Between the two texture patterns, the Predator pattern has really grown on me and become my favorite.

Thanks for the info. The lighter the better.;)

I don't know if this shows up as well, however Steve (Boomer52) did these for me and I think they are superb.

Beautiful! Not being able to find the Cryo II with G10 has kept me from buying it, but if this is still an option, I'm going to have to get it! I love my Cryo 1 with G-10, but I'd like to go with a thicker slab, ditching the steel liner, and adorning it with some color. Subscribing to this thread, hoping to join this club.

I'm no longer machining G10 replacement slabs for the Cryo II... sorry. There may be other craftsman making these... however I am unaware of any availability.

Steve, is there a website to get a listing of what models you are making scales for, and materials/patterns? How to place an order? I checked both Instagramm and Flicker...
