The first knife I've made: thank you for all the info provideed here.

I think the only way Danbo will be happy is if you take of the stag and put on some pakka wood:D . He just hates stag so dont listen to him.

Wow, that is a sweet looking piece of work. Keep it up and get busy on some more.

Mark

Chuck, thanks for the offer. I might take you up on that.
I already have some ideas from your previuos posts, thanks.

Trace and Mark, thank you.

Greg

Greg, with first work like that, you got it! I was at a gun/knife/dog flea market at Rutledge, Mo. last Saturday and looked over some made knives. Your knife beat all of what I inspected, hands down. The knives I saw were in the $100 to 150 range, and nowhere near your work. Just my twopence worth. Doin' good, guy! Pakkawood. Bite your tongue. There is no such material for a knife maker.

Wow! Ripper, your first certainly looks better finished than mine. More ambitious too.

You are fortunate that your girfriend likes knives too although you may find yourself spending more money at shows than you would otherwise. My wife has been lusting after a Lightfoot since she saw one at the Toronto show. Any thing that you make for her would be a "labour of love" in more ways than one ;)

Keep up the good work.

Phil

Greg the offer stands - feel free to call any time.

And the more I look at your knife the more I agree with CLW - DON'T CHANGE A THING!

txwoodchip, John, Phil, Bruce and Chuck;
Thank you all for the kind comments, info, and help.
With my best regards,
Greg
